Aswell Hall

Aswell Hall was named for Professor James B. Aswell. Aswell was a native of North Central Louisiana and became the third president in 1900. In 1904, Aswell resigned to become State Superintendent of Education in 1904. Aswell doubled the size of the faculty and enrollment to just under 800 students.
