Position: Director of Choral Activities

Appointment: September, 2008

Rank: Assistant Professor, tenure-track position

Salary/Benefits: Competitive and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

Doctorate in music preferred (ABD considered)
Excellent choral ensemble conducting and rehearsal skills
Ability to teach studio voice for choral, solo, and other applications; successful college/university choral conducting preferred
Record of commitment to ensemble and chamber performance; Secondary teaching experience desired

Responsibilities:

Conduct Concert Choir and Chamber Ensemble
Teach choral conducting, vocal music education and studio voice
Recruit voice and choral students
Supervise and maintain choral library
Engage in appropriate scholarly and creative activities
Serve on appropriate departmental and university committees
Teach courses as assigned
