SCHOOL OF HUMAN ECOLOGY
MERCHANDISING AND CONSUMER STUDIES

POSITION: Assistant Professor, Merchandising and Consumer Studies (MCS): 9-month appointment, 60% teaching, 30% research, 10% service: tenure-track position to begin September 1, 2008.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The faculty member will be expected to:

QUALIFICATIONS: PhD required; applicants should have at least one advanced degree in fashion/apparel merchandising, textiles and clothing, or family and consumer sciences; minimum of three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in the area of apparel and textile design, construction, selection, merchandising, and promotion; preference will be given to individuals with a minimum of five years of professional work experience in apparel construction, technical design, and evaluation; evidence of research, scholarly activity, and successful grant proposals desirable.

SALARY AND RANK: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
