Position Announcement
Biologist: 9-month, tenure-track,
Assistant Professor in School of Biological Sciences, Louisiana Tech
University; position available January 1, 2010 (start date negotiable). Our
School is a dynamic, collegial unit with 21 faculty and approximately 450
undergraduate and 35 graduate students; we recently realized a period of
growth, with six faculty hired during the previous two years. The University
is located in Ruston, a small (22,000 residents) north Louisiana town. The
successful applicant will teach introductory biology and upper
level/graduate courses in area of expertise, and is expected to establish an
externally-funded research program involving graduate/undergraduate
students. Applicants whose teaching and research supports our existing
Environmental Science program are encouraged to apply. Position requires
Ph.D. in biology or closely related field; prior teaching and postdoctoral
